It's been two weeks since my initial review of the senate races, and the polls have placed two more seats in the Democrat's column, Oregon and Alaska. Kentucky's incumbent is in a safer place, but the numbers have tightened in North Carolina. The latest Rasmussen poll puts the candidates in Minnesota 1 percentage point appart with 15% of the electorate undecided. The situation is much the same with the open seat in Mississippi.

In the senate 60 votes is the magic number; with Leiberman and Sanders caucusing with the Democrats their majority stands at 59. The perfect storm in the senate would have both Minnesota and Mississippi go to the Dems, thus making Leiberman irrelevant. But it's still early.
