A word on the Hirschhorn, it's amazing. It's a better version of the Guggenheim. It's an amazing place to view art with a design that flows organically and somehow distracts you completely from a concern about place or scene of direction. It's collection splits evenly between painting/photography and sculpture--with a taste of installation/video art for fun. And it's free.
