Maryland Zoo, Chapter 5: Southern White Rhinoceros, Common Ostrich and Addra Gazelles.

The Zoo is home to two Southern White Rhinoceros, Ceratotherium simum simum.  One was out this day.  Such a magnificent creature.

The enclosure is a shared space with the zoo's Common Ostriches, Struthio camelus (it's pair of Plains Zebra, Equus burchellii, which were not on display)

Nearby is an enclosure shared by a group of Lesser Kudu, Tragelaphus imberbis australis (not on display) and a group of Addra Gazelle, Nanger dama ruficollis.  This little gazelle is native to the war torn sahel regions of Africa and is critically endangered in the wild.
