On the cusp of the Democrat's Weeklong Infomercial a.k.a. Convention the movement in the polls is like leaves gently settling in the breeze. The candidates flipped Nevada for Indiana and for the first time since I started charting polls back in June Obama no longer has enough ECVotes to win, but neither does McCain (O sweet Virginia....)
Texas has firmed up for McCain, Minnesota for Obama. And New York has softened toward McCain. Nine states have polls within the margin of error, and of these, eight are on the side of McCain. It will be interesting to see how many of these states flip as a result of the mythical convention "bump".
Delaware remains firmly Obama's. That's a safe bet!
