This picture (of Barack and his mother) reminds me of the passe montra often expressed when I was child: "study your lessons, work hard, and anyone can grow up to be president." It was the Lincoln-legacy, the ultimate American dream...but who actually thought it was true?
Apparently, Stanley Ann Dunham Soetoro (Barack's mother) did.
One more reason to support his candidacy.
