I finished up my visit with a stop at one of the zoo's
hidden gems. Located so far off
the beaten trail that it's easy to miss, the complex known as Amazonia with its
massive interior rainforest. On
multiple levels you will see fish, flora, birds and even little
White-eared
Titi Monkeys (
Callicebus donacophilus) roaming freely with you.

Beyond the rainforest, there's also a section devoted to amphibians with lots of Poison Dart Frogs, including the now extinct in the wild
Panamanian Golden Frog (
Atelopus zeteki).
