Equestrian first appeared in the competition of the second olympics 1900 Paris, then disappeared for until 1912 Stockholm where it became ensconced in the pantheon of sports. Great Britain demonstrated its dominance before a hometown crowd, with both Germany and The Netherlands in hot pursuit. 2012 London gave Ireland their first ever medal in the sport of Equestrian.
