Christmas Dinner

Inspired by a recipe and video by their new food critic Melissa Clark, I am planning to make my first Porchetta (Pork Shoulder) Roast.
To that end I got up at the crack of dawn this Sunday morning--okay, so dawn is coming pretty late on the solstice!  But still, I made it there at 8:00 AM just as they were opening up.  The market is adjacent to Gallaudet University in NE DC.
The Butcher's Shop is called Harvey's.  They cut the bone in Pork Shoulder to my specifications.
I'm practically wet with anticipation!  It will be a full day even on the 25th.  My gift to myself, don't you know?
