Amazonia Orb: The Birds

An area of the rockwall exterior of the orb is designed to mimic the clay formations found at Colpa Colorado on the Tambopata River in Peru where the birds exhibit an interesting habit of licking and nibbling the surface.

HUMMINGBIRDS: Around the Observation Station rock formations are rich with tropical flora like orchids and lilies in order to give visitors the opportunity to experience the hummingbirds as they feed.
