Amazonia Orb: The Reptiles

The primary snake in the biome is the Amazon Boa. A common inhabitant of arboreal regions throughout Brazil, the Guyanas, and areas of Venezuela, Colombia and Peru. Though one species the coloration of this animal is extremely variable as these five examples suggest. Adults average around 5.5 ft in length. Like many boas, these feed infrequently.
