Down Under Orb: The Birds

The largest variety of species in the Down Under eco-system are the birds. The ubiquitous and Iconic Emu leads the pack, followed by the only member of the cockatoo family to be included; the Major Mitchell's with it's regal crown. A rosella from the parakeet/parrot family is the only other non-songbird.

The ten song birds will give visitors a chance to put to good use their binoculars. Displays all along the observation deck will provide visitors with opportunities to listen the bird's songs, learn about their unique characteristics and via hidden camera observe the birds close up from remote areas of the orb.
