The primary snake in the biome is the Amazon Boa. A common inhabitant of arboreal regions throughout Brazil, the Guyanas, and areas of Venezuela, Colombia and Peru. Though one species the coloration of this animal is extremely variable as these five examples suggest. Adults average around 5.5 ft in length. Like many boas, these feed infrequently.
I was born on a bitterly cold end of January night in the year 1961. It was seven years to the day after the birth of Oprah Winfrey, and one year before the death of Robert Frost on that same day. Cool associations both.
I was the first child of older parents (my mother was 42). I love the color yellow. I am single, and fascinated with life.
