Facebook Advice
I appreciate Facebook, I really do. And I've noticed how
over the years they've used everything I've posted to refine the ads that run
down the side of my page. I got no problem with that either--it's gotta pay for
itself somehow, right?
For the longest while now there have been ads for meeting
other gay men. These I find annoying. Sometimes the banner reads "I need a
boyfriend" over the face of some Colgate toothpaste spokes-boy smiling.
Gack! Who needs anybody who needs a generic somebody? That's just trouble from
the get go!
But I digress, because the real point is that I'm celibate and
happily so. I'm not against sex--sex is still awesome. But I'd rather direct my
energies in other directions. And FYI--Facebook, you don't get my
"type" anyways. So here a little chart to help you better hone your
algorithms. Calculate on sweet FB.

Alex Minsky Rocks!
How many of you are familiar with the model Alex Minsky? He's been stunning the world with his gorgeous body and take no prisoners self-esteem for years now. And I just find him very compelling. He was a marine serving in Afghanistan when his leg was blown off. He spent 58 days in a coma before regaining consciousness.
He has some of the most stunning tattoos I've ever seen, but of course he presents a stunning canvas to the artist. He isn't afraid to let it all hang out--and with good reason. But I given to understand the FB censors his images, even the one that appeared on the cover of Mens Health and was displayed in grocery stores aisles where he was naked and his buttocks in silhouette was exposed. I'm assuming some of these will NOT past FB muster.

Zesty Salad Dressing Guy
I posted this image to the FB page as a jibe against the ridiculously named Million Moms organization's moralistic protestations to it. What a pack of Mississippi racists, homophobe, troglodytes. And then some of my friends played the "Oh, I have the vapors!" card of moral offense.
My beloved cousin wrote: "I actually think these kinds of ads are uncalled for. Salad dressing is not what they are selling."
Which just goes to show how shallow her understanding of the Ad business is. And Salad Dressing is exactly what they are selling--muscular, sexy, erotic, zesty motherfucking salad dressing!!!
