"East Side Story" is no "West Side Story"; it's not even vaguely based on anything by Shakespeare....
However, it is a nice movie. The acting is mostly plausible, and only occasionally over-the-top. As indi films go it's average which is to say worth the time. And the lead, Rene Alvarado is some sweet eye candy (the one on the right!).
