December 1st marked yet another International AIDS Day of rememberance, activism, education, and protest.
May the day come when such a commemoration will only be celebration for the end of the plague, for the extinction of the virus. After all, we took care of the Dodo bird, the Tasmanian Wolf, the Carolina Parakeet, and the Passenger Pigeon.
Praise to all who have joined hands in this cause. As we say at my school, "Together We Can".
Together means people of all races, all creeds, all genders, all languages, all sexualities. The greater our collective diversity, the more likely our collective desire and intellect will find a cure.
And until that day, may we all join in to do whatever we can to hasten it's advent among us.
