On September 5, 1977 NASA launched a probe that eventually became known as Voyager 1. The goal was to visit the gas giants of Saturn and Jupiter and then see where things went. Well, the went on and on to visit Neptune and Uranus and now it is about to escape the heliosheath of our very solar system to become the first man-made object in outer space. I think that deserves a pair of commemorative stamps. Don't you?
