Hot to Cold ~ The National Building Museum

The National Building Museum has a wonderful exhibition of architectural models and plans of buildings and proposed buildings from all of the world that feature energy efficiency.

The models are displayed on shelves suspended just off of the second floor loggia.
 This one is from Malaysia.

This is a pair of apartments designed for Grand Bay, Alabama.
Meant to look like the iconic mountains nearby, this is a series of apartments and resort condos from Haulien, China.

Above is the Smithsonian's redesign of the gardens behind their castle on The Mall here in Washington, D.C.
This public space complete with a cafe and rock climbing wall is destined to appear in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Vancouver, Canada demonstrates how to create eco harmony and express traffic flow together.

Yes, Denmark offered this Lego house!

Art Bridge is a new museum set across the Randsvelsa River in Norway as a continuation of the Kistofos Museum and sculpture gardens.
Below is a final look at the National Building Museum from the second floor extended glass lobby of the Sidney Harman Hall where I saw the musical.  I love Washington, D.C.
