After 7 hours at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska it
was time to plan my last minutes there.
I chose a visit to the Grewcock Butterfly & Insect Pavilion; being a
structure that was also a mini Plant Conservatory. As such it was a treasure trove of photo opportunities and
led out to the exit with a chance to view one more animal: the Okapi.
Final thoughts would include just how wonderful a zoo this
one is. And, yes, I didn't like
all of it--but seriously, it's so immense and has so many animals--perhaps even
15% that I never got to see; yet, I have never been a zoo that is comparable in
its totality. And that will be the
final word.
