Vintage Images of Decorations from Christmases of My Childhood

We actually had one of these! And there was a little spinning blade that turned before the light bulb to give the illusion of flickering flames!
Every Christmas the candy dishes would come out with the Ribbon Candy! And not just peppermint either but an entire rainbow of head ache and tooth ache inducing confection!
We had a couple of these flaked plastic marvels, among them the snowman!
It wasn't Christmas season until the Sear and Roebucks (and then just Sears) catalogue arrived. Talk about your kiddie porn--from a kid's point of view!
Bells like this were opened and hung every year over windows. The replaced the honeycomb paper turkeys that had replaced the honeycomb paper pumpkins!
And the foam was sprayed from an aerosol can.  Precursor of silly string, no doubt.
There were years when our tree looked like this one, too!
