Stop #6 @ the Zoo of Maryland in Baltimore. The African Journey, part 2.
The Giraffe House was built in the mid-70's and houses 5 reticulated Giraffe and a pair of Okapi. While large cats are popular attractions at zoos, this zoo keeps a modest cadre: a Leopard, a pair of Cheetah and a pair of Lions. The female Lioness was out with her adolescent off-spring. This picture shows the siblings, sister in foreground, brother behind.
