I know that Walmart is a bad player in the Global Economy. It's owned by a pack of greedy, soulless Gits. But ... Okay, BUT! In this instance, I really like it. They built it to honor the historic architecture of the neighborhood and it brings to thousands of citizens affordable fresh produce and meat to a degree that people who have no means to travel out to find such things could never have imagined. At this place, they did good.
The rails shadowed on the sidewalk and the design honoring a former street car station on this sight.
Historical placard across the street.
