A belated birthday gift was a trip to the Ford's Theater here in DC to see the first of three plays commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Tennessee Williams. The Glass Menagerie was a wonderful production. My first time at the Ford's Theater. Yes, THAT Ford's Theater--the one were Lincoln was assasinated.
I would say that I was not impressed with the actor who played Tom. He was both forceful, which is fine, and fey, which was distracting. I wondered if he thought he was somehow channelling Williams himself?
