Washington, DC is also a great city of statues. Many are
equestrian and hold court over traffic circles named in the honor of their
honoree. Across from the Phillips Collection is a different sort of monument to
man walking on his own two feet. It is fittingly larger than life and parallels
the Embassy of India. I dare say he doesn't need to be named to be known.
