Sailing is another Olympic sport that established its place at the games early on. First seen at the second olympics 1900 Paris, it returned at 1908 London and never looked back. This is the third time in the history of the Olympics that the waters near London hosted this competition, and for the Great Britain that may have contributed to their strong showing.
