The PTA does a spring fundraiser at my school that features
teacher baskets/boxes. Typically this involves teams of teachers putting
together some package of books or gift certificates or even outings like put
put golf for the winner and 3 of their friends. The students buy a chance at
the thing they want for a 50¢ and then drop their ticket in a little bag placed
near the basket/box with the offerings in it. I have decided to run the field!
Oh yeah... I put together a Mr. Ash's Lego-mania Booster kit! The PTA does a
lot for our school, my outlay of 40 bucks to hopefully raise them a couple
hundred seems like a good investment. And two of the books are SO COOL!
One
traces the history of architecture through lego buildings and the other covers
world history from the big bang to the inauguration of president Obama. Both
give directions to how to build key components or sample models.
