Spring Break Redux: SAM, part 8 of 8: A New Republic by Kehinde Wiley

And now the Icing on the SAM cake! Kehinde Wiley: A New Republic. I have long loved Kehinde Wiley's paintings--the sensibility of his vision. But I had no idea that he was so prolific in so many mediums: Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Stained-glass, and Bronze sculpture. Everywhere something to delight. Huge, lush canvases exuding such dignity, such pride. I literally had to fight back tears at times. I have tried to give you a wide sampling, sometimes I include details and sometimes people to give you a better sense of perspective. Enjoy my dears! And I've only scratched the surface of what was there.
